To make your Blue Cave boat tour smooth, comfortable, and stress-free, a bit of preparation goes a long way. Most questions guests have before the trip are already answered — you just need to carefully read the information sent to you after your reservation is confirmed.
Below are the most important tips to help you prepare properly for your day at sea.
1. Read the Departure Info Sent with Your Voucher
After completing your booking, you will receive a voucher with detailed Departure Information. This is the most important document before your tour.
The Departure Info includes:
- exact departure location (Google Maps link)
- photos of the meeting point and the boat
- clear instructions on how to find the location and identify the boat
- departure time and additional important notes
We strongly recommend reading this information the day before the tour, so you can arrive relaxed and on time.
2. What to Bring on Your Blue Cave Boat Tour
To enjoy your day at sea, we recommend bringing:
water
swimwear
towel
hat or cap
sunglasses
sunscreen
a light jacket or long-sleeve top(it can feel chilly on the way back, especially after swimming)
personal medication (if needed)
swim shoes (if you already have them – useful for rocky beaches)There is no need to bring many items — travel light, as storage space on the boat is limited.
3. Food and Drinks Before the Tour
We do not recommend drinking alcohol the evening before your Blue Cave tour. Alcohol can affect how you feel at sea, even the next day.
On the morning of the tour, we suggest:
- having a light breakfast
- avoiding greasy or irritating food
- eating at least something small, such as bread or a light snack
Going out to sea on a completely empty stomach is the worst option.
4. Seasickness – Should You Be Concerned?
This is one of the most common questions we receive.
Here’s what you should know:
- you cannot get seasick while the boat is speeding (planing)
- seasickness is only possible
During our tours, the boat is mostly moving or anchored in protected bays, so seasickness is very rare.
5. Safety Rules on Board
For the safety of all guests:
- bringing any type of drugs on board is strictly prohibited
- the skipper has the right to deny boarding to anyone under the influence of alchocol or drugs
These rules ensure that the tour remains safe, comfortable, and enjoyable for everyone.
A Little Preparation Makes a Big Difference
If you:
- read your Departure Info carefully
- bring the recommended items
- arrive rested and prepared
- you have already done everything needed for an unforgettable
